Saint Gabriel the Archangel

Saint Gabriel is one of seven Archangels who stand before the throne of God. His name means “God is my strength.” The Archangel Gabriel is a messenger, which means he brings messages from God to people on earth. In the Bible, he appeared to the prophet Daniel and to Zechariah to tell him he would be the father of St. John the Baptist. The Archangel Gabriel also appeared to the Blessed Virgin Mary to tell her that she would be the Mother of Jesus. How can we be messengers for God like Saint Gabriel the Archangel?
